The history of our school is a history of God’s goodness and grace to us over the years. St. Peter Lutheran Church and School was founded in 1868 by a group of Lutheran immigrants from Germany, who were primarily from Mecklenburg and Pomerania. They settled just northeast of Appleton, Wisconsin, establishing their homes and making a livelihood in a land of unrestricted freedom of religion and economic independence.
For over 150 years, and five building projects later (1910, 1982, 1998, 2014, and 2022), our church and school have been blessed to be able to share God’s Word with Appleton and the surrounding communities!
St. Peter Lutheran School assists parents in the daily Christian training of their children with the timeless truths of God’s Word for now and eternity. We serve around 300 students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade. In addition to that number, our three-classroom Early Childhood Ministry serves nearly 80 children each year. The Comet community has a long standing tradition of providing excellence not only in the classroom, but also in fine arts and athletics, with over 84% of our age-eligible students participating each year in additional activities.
As part of 922 Ministries, St. Peter Lutheran School exists to help EVERY CHILD in its educational program:
Plant JESUS ROOTS,
Grow individually and wholistically, and
Shine YOU FIRST light.
The best way to see if St. Peter Lutheran is the right choice for you and your family is to see our campus in action. During your visit, you will meet our admissions team, tour our classrooms and facility, and have a chance to ask all your questions.
